Non-Muslims under Islamic law would be held under the status of dhimmi (from Arabic ذميّ, dh as th pronounced like in this) were allowed to "practice their religion, subject to certain conditions, and to enjoy a measure of communal autonomy" and guaranteed their personal safety and security of property, in return for paying tribute and acknowledging Muslim rule.[1] Taxation from the perspective of thimmis who came under the Muslim rule, was "a concrete continuation of the taxes paid to earlier regimes"[2] (but now lower under the Muslim rule[3][4]) and from the point of view of the Muslim conqueror was a material proof of the dhimmi's subjection.[2]Various restrictions and legal disabilities were placed on dhimmis, such as prohibitions against bearing arms or giving testimony in courts in cases involving Muslims.[5]

The Benefits of Islam
Eight years ago, I was on a transit at Heathrow Airport when I entered a bookshop and saw a rack of Middle Eastern novels written by Western authors. The covers all portrayed veiled women running away from an abusive husband, father or brother. Women I'd never knew personally, not at home in America or in my birth country of Iraq. Although I realize they exist everywhere.

The Islamic Response to the Secular Educational System
By Br. Khalid El-Gharib
The West has claimed that for centuries its scientific and technological progress was a direct result of isolating religion from the practical affairs of societies by the secular ideology of separating the Church from the State. The rise of secularism meant that religious teachings in the social and political systems were replaced with man-made legislation. This perception that views religion as impractical and full of contradictions was due to the historical brutality possessed by the Church against scientists and philosophers.
This article addresses the reasons that brought about secular educational systems in the West and will refute the generalisations made by the West to include Islam as a religion of rituals and spirituality that does not manifest itself in the temporal affairs. This article is dedicated to Muslim University students to enlighten their Islamic worldview on the western secular educational systems.

How to muslim perfect...?
Every Muslim believes that Islam is the way of life. No doubt about it. Islam has guides and rules for every part in our life such as worship, morals, study, business , banking, and so on. This is because, Islam is the only religion that granted by Allah till judgment day. In the Holy Quran, Allah said ” This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, God is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, God is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.” (surah al-Maidah, No.3). See! how beautiful it is? Most of the Muslimknew about that but unluckily they don’t appreciate with it. That’s why Muslims today are very weak and also discriminate by other races and regions. I’m feel very upset looking us (Muslim) get behind from any expects especially on technology and economics.
So, How to be a perfect Muslim? The basic concept is obey Allah and obey the Messenger. Who is the Messenger? He is the prophet of Muhammad (peace be upon him). In the Holy Quran, Allah said “O you who believe! Obey Allâh, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad) and render not vain your deeds” (surah Muhammad, No.33).
Next step is gain and find a lot of knowledge. Try to be a knowledgeable person. Let’s refer to the first divine revelation which is about the knowledge. In the Holy Quran, Allah said “Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists)”, (surah al-‘alaq, No.1) At the same time, remember Allah always. In other words, Allah mentions us to be success in our life by using a better knowledge.
The last step is ‘‘Do every command from Allah, and Let go what prohibit and forbid from Allah”. In the Holy Quran, Allah said “You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fasiqun (disobedient to Allah - and rebellious against Allah's Command). (surah al-‘imran,no.110). I saw that It’s not benefits to individual person only but also for the Islamic community around the world.
What I wrote here is only the basis. Without that, Its very difficult to achieve as a perfect Muslim. So, Let we (Muslim) do it together. Hopefully, It will make us become more awareness. Good Luck
